One day returning, confident, sure, Thought that his future would be secure, Comfort was so important to him, He gave up his birthright for a bowl of stew. Jacob was the younger twin, But the Lord had chosen him To gain the birthright and the blessing, too. 2. Esau sought the pleasures of the world, They spoiled his taste for God. Waited far too late to change his view!! Jacob took the wiser stand. He chose the blessing and the land To Jacob, the promises of God were grand! (Can Be Sung to: Tea for Two) |
