BRAVE MOSES
(Shining Star, Issue 29)

1. Brave Moses went to Pharaoh's court
to speak for Israel's band,
For God said, "Let my people go,
and let them leave your land."
Yet Pharaoh's heart was like a rock.
He heard not God's command.
Instead he made life very hard
for them on every hand.
(Chorus): I am the Lord, the God of all.
I do great signs for you;
I'll take you to the Promised Land,
My Word is ever true.

2. It took ten plagues in Egypt's land
to open Pharaoh's eyes.
But when his firstborn child lay dead
he filled the air with cries,
"Rise up and get you forth from here
and go to serve your Lord."
For Israel was spared from death
with blood upon the door.
