1. Eli the high priest would fail To cooperate with God. Through he had been sovereignly Born in the right family. He should be a faithful priest, For God's heart alone to care. But, because he failed at this, In those days God's word was rare. 2. Through the failure of Eli God brought in a Nazarite— Samuel, who'd willingly Give himself to God freely. God would raise up for Himself Samuel a faithful priest, Who would do according to What was in God's heart and mind. 3. Here's the lesson, we must learn— Never from God's word to turn; Learning not to disobey God's speaking, this is the way: We like Eli have been born Into the right families. But, we must cooperate Along with God's sovereignty.
