The prayer burdens of the church in NYC for the week of 08/04/2020

1. The Northeast Summer School of Truth on the topic of God's Full Salvation being held online daily this week and concluding this upcoming Saturday:
    a. That the hearts of the young people would be open and be the good ground for the word of the Lord to be sown into 
    b. The strengthening of all the serving ones in their shepherding of the young people
    c. The strengthening of the families of the young people during and after the Summer School
    d. All the coordination and the technical aspects of the Summer School

2. The continued strengthening of the church life in New York City:
    a. The mutual shepherding of all the saints, including those who may be discouraged or occupied and have not been meeting regularly
    b. That all the saints would be burdened for the gospel and for the spreading of the truth (1 Tim. 2:3-4)
    c. The protection and the preservation of the health of all the saints and their families
    d. The strengthening of the Lord's Day meetings and all the other meetings during the week, such as the prayer meetings, the small group meetings, the children's meetings, young people's meetings, etc.
    e. All the families in the church and all the corporate living arrangements

6. Southern California Blending and Conference Center (Oak Glen Camp)--A few years ago the churches in Southern California purchased a camp to serve as a blending and conference center which is used in much the same way as we use Camp Penuel; for the past few days a fire has been burning near the conference center and the property is now included in the mandatory evacuation zone; initially the wind caused the fire to burn away from the conference center, but changing winds throughout the past two days have caused the fire to progress slowly towards our property; let us pray for the Lord to protect His interest at the conference center and that the fire would be kept away and be brought under control
